Had a good visit with Dr. Lowy at UCSD. He provided a grounding perspective on the parameters and considerations regarding surgery, and some clarity on what's likely happening with the tumors, why, and what we can anticipate. He reminded us that his job is to expect the worst but hope for the best. While we didn't come away with a plan for surgery, we do understand what we want to see from the chemotherapy, and will probably scan again in a month. Then reassess. One thing we know for sure: we are in the best of hands.
